Who we are

Fortress Clash is a game developed by Quentin Mayo and Bradley Steven Merritt. Quentin Mayo, operating as ProgrammingSecurely, handles the game's online services and privacy requests. This policy covers the Fortress Clash game, player account service, and public website.

What the game stores

You can play the available guest modes without creating an account. Story progress, local decks, audio and display preferences, and downloaded game content are stored on your device.

If you create an online account, we receive your email address, display name, and password over an encrypted connection. The server stores a password hash rather than the password itself. We assign a player ID and use session tokens to keep you signed in. The game may keep account shortcuts and sign-in tokens on your device using the platform's credential storage.

Online features store your card collection, saved decks, custom formats, and submitted battle results, including the outcome and number of turns. Account activity and security records help us operate the service, prevent abuse, and resolve support requests. Web servers and hosting providers may process connection information such as IP addresses and request logs.

Why we use this information

We use account and game data to authenticate you, provide online game features, deliver content updates, protect accounts, and answer requests. Player names, decks, formats, or battle information may be visible to other players where you use sharing or multiplayer features. Your email and password hash are not public profile information.

We do not sell personal information or use player data for targeted advertising. The current game does not include advertising or in-app purchases. Essential session cookies are used on the player website. The player website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the connection information needed to serve those files.

The public marketing website and player website use our privately hosted Umami service for page-view statistics. It processes page paths, referring sites, browser and device information, language, screen size, and connection information. Our analytics proxy excludes account identities, cookies, page titles, search parameters, and URL fragments. This website tracking is separate from the game.

Newsletters and support

Subscribing to the newsletter is separate from creating a player account. We store your subscription email and subscription status to send the updates you request through Amazon Web Services email services. You can unsubscribe here or use the link in an email.

Newsletter delivery records can include deliveries, bounces, complaints, opens, and link clicks. We use these records to understand delivery and engagement and to stop sending to addresses that bounce or report unwanted mail.

If you contact support, we receive the information you send, such as your email and bug report. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or payment information.

Service providers and security

Our hosting, database, and email providers process information needed to run these services. We may disclose information when required by law or to investigate abuse and protect players. Information may be processed in countries outside your own.

Online connections use HTTPS. Password hashing and access controls help protect account data. No service can promise absolute security.

Delete your account or request your data

You can delete your Fortress Clash player account online using your email and current password. In supported game versions, open Settings → Privacy & Account while signed in. Deletion permanently removes the player profile, online collection, saved decks, custom formats, and sign-in sessions from the active service.

Shared battle history may remain without your player identity. The in-game deletion option also removes that account's local saves on the device where you confirm it. The website cannot erase local saves on your other devices; remove those through your device's app storage settings. Newsletter subscriptions are separate and can be removed using the unsubscribe link.

We keep account information while it is needed to provide the service. Following deletion, limited security, legal, and backup records may remain until their retention or backup cycle ends; they are not used to reactivate your account. Contact us for help with access, correction, deletion, or retention questions, including if you cannot sign in. We may need to verify that the account is yours.

Children and policy updates

Our online account services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where required.

We may update this policy as the game and its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
